| Khashayar Naimanan
Simply but unrevealingly put, this man is one of the kings of my city. Having reigned for a while, he has recently done the decent thing (what is it with the English?) and attempted to take over Germany, where he is currently working on major design projects about which I am sworn to secrecy for now - watch this space. I expect great things of Khashayar and I am proud to present his first rug, the graffiti world reflected in rugged fashion.
Khashayar Naimanan started a career in graffiti and photography at the age of 15. Inspired by early graffiti writers, he became one of the few Kings of the "London Underground" by the mid 1990's. Discovering his creative talent he decided to enrol into Art College. He studied product design at two of the capitals art schools Central Saint Martin's and the Royal College of Art where he designed conceptual story/experience based work using different techniques and materials. Khashayar runs art-based youth workshops and works as a freelance designer. Recent exhibitions include Konrad-Adenauer-Ufer, Cologne, Museum of Modern Art, New York, Israel Museum, Jerusalem, Ausstellungshalle Zeitgenössische Kunst, Münster, and Kunstraum, Berlin.
